Prayer is the key that unlocks the door of the throne room of heaven!

Please be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and as you feel led please take advantage of this opportunity to pray.

Deuteronomy 7:9the Lord your God is the faithful God who for a thousand generations keeps all of His promises and constantly loves those who love Him and who obey all of His commands.

God’s promises are for us! They are not promises made long ago in another place and for another time. God’s promises are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23) However, God’s promises are conditional. We must do our part. We have obligations and requirements. God is not a genie in a bottle granting wishes. God’s desire for us is only goodness and all that is for our best. If we make the decision not to follow God’s teachings, if we decide not to love God wholeheartedly, if we decide that we know what is best for our lives and that we will not follow God’s plan for our lives then God’s promises are not for us. God’s promise of a new life filled with joy and peace is ours if we embrace the love of Jesus and ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of our life. As this Lenten season is approaching its end, let us lay aside all those things in our lives which keep us from becoming all that God desires for us to be and instead let us be resurrected into in a new life filled with all of God’s promises. Amen

As violence and anger erupt in the city of Birmingham Alabama, Woodlawn High School football coach Tandy Gerelds (Nic Bishop) allows an outsider (Sean Astin) to speak to his players.
